OUR STORY
The story is long. When you walk past the store it's easy to think “it's just a boutique”. But the journey to getting to Frankie’s Boutique is also the story of Jordan and I. Our story is the good, the bad, and the ugly tour. And I wouldn’t change any of it.
We are a military family. My husband serves in the Air Force. We have been stationed in FL>GA>FL> moving next summer to our next base. We have two kids, Amelia & Jack. They couldn’t be more different, but 100% the copy and pasted versions of us!
I started in direct sales with clothing. I loved helping women feel good in their skin. I loved making myself feel good. After two kids, I hated everything about my body. I had boobs & curves for the first time in my life. My stomach soft and squishy. Nothing was the same. And I struggled to get dressed for any event. Learning how to empower & express myself through clothing gave me the passion to open my very own boutique. Where I could hand-pick all the items we would carry.
In January of 2018 we opened as an online boutique. By the end of that summer, after Jordan’s first deployment, we decided that Frankie’s had outgrown being a home business and we opened Brick + Mortar in Downtown Macon. The location couldn’t be more perfect. Across from our favorite date night restaurant, Dovetail. Where we dreamed up so many hopes for our future.
We have survived being a new business, in a growing downtown location, through a pandemic, and continue to work hard to be the best boutique in DT Macon through all the unknowns our economy throws at us.
Frankie? Who the heck is that?! Frankie was my uncle. In 2017 he passed away after living an incredible life. He lived 30+ years in my family home where my mom took full time care of him. Frankie suffered a TBI and was paralyzed on the left side after a horrific car accident when he was younger. He inspired me and reminded me often “it's a bad day, not a bad life”.
Our family can never thank you enough for shopping and supporting us. Through the moves and hardships you have cheered us on. That is everything to us. Even 4 years later, we still do a jig every time a purchase is made in our store or online! We owe that to you.
xx,
The Buckley Family
